Five WHS players played in the Heatwave Lacrosse tournament @ Ponte Vedra, Fl. July 18-19. Players Peep, Maddie, Katie, Melissa, and Allison all did very well during the tournament playing with the Copperheads Club on two different teams that bested opponents from all over the southeast on the first and second days of play. One team won the Championship within their division. Our girls added to the overall good efforts by all players on both teams. The game was a 7 V 7 format that required the players to play all facets of the game from attack to midfield transitions to defense in a fast moving type of tiresome all out play. Our girls were big contributors on the attack and in the defense. Kuddos to the girls for staying active and congrats to the girls who were on the Championship team!
